my suggestion/question was along that line, it would be cool if there was a button to jump to just the results or the stats (new pages you just did) for the races just your horses are in. Not sure it would be something easily done as yahoo web pages are about as advanced as i get. lol
While I was looking through different stud’s lists of foals seeing what rank, if any, any of their producing daughters had to figure out how nice of a broodmare sire the stud is, I started wondering if, now that the game is old enough to have daughters of studs with raced foals, if we could have a stats page similar to the one for stud’s foals, for broodmare sires??
I have absolutely no idea if it would be difficult to code or not, but I guess studs could appear on the list as soon as they have daughters with the status of broodmare and the different stats that would be cool to see could be #/% of Platinum/Gold/Silver/Bronze rated daughters and/or #/% of MSW, SW, SP, winning foals of daughters. Also maybe earnings of foals o/o daughters. There could be other things to add too. Anyway, I think this would be a “fun” feature to add so I decided to see if it would be possible someday
This has already been requested and is on the to do list.
Oh, whoops, I scanned the To Do list before posting, guess I missed it tho! sorry!
I was wondering if there is any way while viewing race forms if there is a way to go to the race that you want to see other than scrolling through all the races which takes forever sometimes.
Thanks.
Mat
Use the post parade. At the top of each race table, near where the name of the race is, there is a link to the racing form for that particular race. That way you can skip right to the race that you want.
I would like to see the ability to “publish” the racing form. When you go to post parade and select racing form, it takes awhile to load. (I assume it is querying the database to build the page). I get impatient while I’m doing my handicapping.
And likewise, when you start from the racing form, it takes a while to load each race. It would be nice if once the races are frozen, that the racing form be calculated and cached so that we can get all of the races with one click. It would make handicapping faster .
I know I’m probably just being lazy , but I get impatient waiting for the racing form to load. I almost wish I had it on paper to look at while I’m reviewing the post parade…
Well I just thought of a fun feature to add due to stupidity on my part…
How about a warning on the stable page that X nominations are closing in X number of days. I just missed the Breeders Series nominations completely, which closed 3 days ago. GR! lol.
Oh gosh, are you serious? Whoops, I missed it, too! I agree, that would be a great feature.
Lol…I thought some stables other than me might have forgot, and I actually would never have caught it unless I was looking through some BC nomination stuff. I was like, “Oh, well, while I’m here lets do the Breeders Series horses too.” Yeah well, that didn’t pan out so well. LOL.
Not overly cool or exciting but…
It would be nice to be able to see the name of the jockey who was riding the horse on the horse’s “view races” without opening up the chart from that race. Just a thought
Going along those same lines…it would be nice to be able to view race record per jockey, just like you do for equipment, etc. Again, so you don’t have to open all those charts to see who was riding when the horse did it’s best…
Plenty of merit in both ideas
Didn’t notice if this was suggested already… synthetic racing surfaces instead of just dirt and turf?
I can pretty much promise that, if that’s ever done, it will not be done anytime soon. Horses already have over 50 stats going into their racing abilities, I’d rather not try and tackle yet another stat just to simulate synthetic racing surfaces. (Especially since FF’s injury rate is way less than the real world.)
Further to this, would it be possible to be able to download the entire days Racing Form as a PDF document? As Rufus said, it makes handicapping much harder when you want to see the form for a particular race and have to wait forever (at least it seems like forever) for the form to load. When you have to do this for 50 races… If we could get the entire days form downloaded as a PDF document, at least we would only have to wait “forever” once each day.
Setting up the racing form data in the database so that it’s quicker to load is way more likely than PDF output. I had to wrestle with PDF stuff at my last job, and it was a major hassle. Excel output is a lot easier, though. So that might be possible.
Excel will work just as well.
i have a question would it be possible to set up the work out page to be able to pick say all 2 yos at one time for one workout, instead of going through and clicking each one by one?
any chance of cheaper open allowances. My filly would is ready to enter Allowances but I don’t have the money for these purses
