After early births in each of the past two years and with 8 mares due to foal in the first 7 days of the year, thankfully all of our mares managed to keep their legs crossed until after midnight. We welcome two new babies, both by one of our first season stallions [color=blue]NCh. Lucky Streak.

I had wanted to name her Fly into the Sunset however that was one character too long. After a lot of deliberation about how to shorten it to make it fit without eliminating any spaces, I came up with this. I was born in Jamaica (the island, not the town in New York) and that is how it would be said in Patois.

Feb 15th

Finally, one of our overdue mares decided to deliver her foal early this morning.
