Love Trill’s stockings! I love ponies with lots of white
I love greys and blacks, so I think you got doubly lucky with those last two. Very nice!
Still waiting on another mare to foal - she’s a week and a half late.

8.2hh bay filly
Empire Maker x Fat Frankies Doll
This cross was a total crapshoot. Risk is from Empire Maker’s first crop and she’s only Frankie’s second foal, so I’m hoping it will turn out well. Frankie was a pretty solid runner on the track so here’s hoping Risk will at least be able to run in a straight line.
Frankie has a date with Dark Continent later this year.

And me!
Still waiting for another foal!

8.2hh liver chestnut colt
NCh. Conflagration x Cryptotrick
Can’t decide what to name this guy. I’m pretty sure it’s going to change at some point. Hoping for a decent runner as Tricks was a pretty solid runner for about a year and dad was obviously a NCh.
Cryptotrick is off to see Crystal Rainbow, continuing the apparent theme I have of sending her to stallions with C-names (the stallion before Conflagration was Clockstopper).

Cute name.
We’ve been having a foal a day for a few days now! Catching Rain was the last to deliver.
[color=red]Halcyon Days
9.0hh bay filly
FFCh. High Chances (S) x Catching Rain
Halcyon Days is the first foal for Catching Rain. Rainer was an okay racer; in her third start she won the Gr. 2 Adirondack Stakes and then promptly performed sort of poorly for the rest of her career. High Chances needs no introduction; I’m hoping he’ll add some class to Rainer’s lines.
Alcyone was a Greek mythological figure who threw herself into the sea after her lover was died at sea. Out of compassion the gods changed Alcyone and her lover Ceyx into halcyon birds. There are supposedly seven days of calm seas during the winter so that Alcyone can nest and lay eggs safely on the beach.

Lovely filly, congrats!
I want a foal a day. I think my mare Cool Your Jets has forgotten she’s pregnant (was due Jan. 29).
Haha thanks! It would be so much easier than waiting, wouldn’t it? I’ve had a mare due for about that long as well, it’s awful!
Lovely filly
Congrats on the healthy HC filly! Love the name. =)
Only a week and a half late!
[color=blue]Castle Thunder
9.1hh grey colt
Point Given (S) x Daffodil Lil
It feels like there have been so many foals born since this guy’s actual due date! I’m pleased he and mom are healthy. Daffodil Lil was a nice steeplechaser, winning 4 of her 5 starts. She didn’t get started until she was 5 years old, though, so I don’t know if she was just a late bloomer or would have been nice in her earlier years. Point Given is a nice steeplechaser sire. Castle Thunder is named after the thunder sound effect you hear in a lot of movies.

LOVE the names Castle Thunder and Halcyon Days!
It feels like it’s been forever since I last had a foal!
[color=blue]Earl of Mar
9.1hh dark bay colt
ICh. Count Me In (S) x Now I’m Vexed
This handsome dude was born on Monday. Count Me In and Vex were both nice two year olds (in different ways hehe). Vex was in the money 9 of 10 starts, winning 5. I’m hoping for a lovely precocious runner. An earl is the British equivalent of a count, though his wife is still called a countess. The Earl of Mar is a Scottish peerage and is the oldest peerage in Great Britain, and possibly the oldest in Europe.
