I’ve been checking obsessively because my maiden mare, Almost Daybreak, is due at the end of this month. On Leap Day, in fact, now that I think of it. Anyways, she didn’t foal yet. However, I do have a new baby to show everyone, and she follows her mother’s trend of being early.
Last year, Penny Lane foaled two weeks early, I can’t remember her exact due date this go round, but I know it was in March. Oh well, got me a Valentine baby.

Thank y’all! I’m pretty excited, and already looking forward to 2018 when she can start racing, lol. I am pretty happy to have managed to get a mare to Highland Wizard before he retired, and to get a filly makes me even happier.

This guy’s Lady’s first foal. Lady herself didn’t do a whole heck of a lot for us on the track, placing in only a few of the 14 races she was put in during her time as a racer. I’m wondering if she might’ve done better for us as a chaser, but too late now to find that out.
I had Lady double booked (whoops), so I’m going to go through all my bookings again to make sure I haven’t missed anyone else. She’s getting sent to Slip In The Mud for her next date.

I figured, given his parents’ names, it was only fitting to give him a name from the Civil War. My biggest foal so far from this crop, we have some pretty high hopes for this guy. Mae was a multi-winner, multi-placed 'chaser, although she did win and place a time or two on flat. We actually bought her as a broodmare, so she hasn’t done anything for us except give us a couple of gorgeous colts.
I’ve sent Mae off to FF for a date with Stressed, since she appears to be one of the few I didn’t have a booking for.

This is Strike’s second foal, and we have high hopes for both of them. Strike was one of my best runners before she was retired to brood, and we’re hoping her babies prove just as good as she was.
Strike is going to visit Eighteen Carat (a son of What It’s Worth) for her next foal. Really looking forward to the results of this cross.
