Kona Star Ranch's 2016 foals!

Rofl!!  I’ll think on that one.  XD

How about. Too Many Men , lol

That was the first thing I thought of.

The next thing was “red sky at night”, but that’s been taken. (As has “Sailor’s Delight”, which is the rest of that phrase.) However, the other part is “Red Sky At Morning” (taken), Sailor Take Warning, if you want to use that.

(Wikipedia has a whole thing on red sky at night, which is pretty interesting.)

Or Breaking Dawn, or Dawns Early Light, New Day Dawning
Red Sky At Night is mine just born this yr  ;D
That’s a cool article thanks for the link! We always used that saying to predict weather in Maine.

All of which have been used.

I stand by my original suggestion. Do it!

That phrase was actually my first thought.  My former step-dad was a boat captain and I’d help him out.  The phrase, 9 times out of 10, was right too.  :stuck_out_tongue:

Cat, we’ll see what I get out of the next mare.  XD  Provided no one else takes the name before then (and provided one of them uncrosses their legs), someone’s getting named that!

Oops I didn’t look , the names popped into my head, probably from when I was naming mine  I knew they came from somewhere

XD

Well Cat, I told you if I got another colt, one of them would be named Not Another Colt.  Now it’s a matter of which one gets the name?  I’m thinking Day’s foal will, but we’ll see.

Two new colts to show y’all tonight!

Tentatively named The King’s Warlock
By Warchant (B) (Danzig (G) x created)
Out of I Put A Spell On U (created)
http://www.finalfurlong.org/viewhorse.php?horse=21870
Dapple grey, star, RH coronet, LH sock

And the next guy…

Tentatively being called Shadows On The Sun
By Sun King (created)
Out of Echo Park (created)
http://www.finalfurlong.org/viewhorse.php?horse=21380
Dark bay, stripe, RH sock, LH sock

Not sure where I’m sending Echo just yet, but Spell has a booking with Dr. Evil for her next foal.

[color=green]1 filly, 6 colts, 5 still due.  Next due on 3/28

I like the names

Keep the names they have, they suit them

You know you don’t have to listen to my silly suggestions, right? But I’m kind of psyched you did. Now you just need to studify him. You know, for naming purposes.

Love the names of the new colts. =)

I know, he needs to do very well for me, just so I can studify him.  XD

Well, evidently, this filly was either extremely impatient to be born, or Honor was really tired of being pregnant.  :stuck_out_tongue: She wasn’t due until 4/3

[color=red]Spirit Of Honor
By Lasting Spirit (B) (NCh. Killing Time (S) x Lasting Impression (G))
Out of Ozilda’s Honor (created)
http://www.finalfurlong.org/viewhorse.php?horse=22276
Pretty little black filly with a stripe and a star who’s evidently going to top out at 15.1hh

This is Honor’s second foal, I got her at the end of her racing career, but during it, she did well enough, winning and placing several times.  She’s staying at home this go round, got a date with Slip In The Mud.  Of course, can’t breed her again till she actually “has” this filly.  <.< Interesting.  She’s given birth and still in foal.  XD

[color=green]2 fillies, 6 colts, 4 still due.  Next due on 3/28.

Cute filly, (keep an eye on that it might be a known bug)

It’s only a known bug if I notice it (I didn’t) or people report it (which is why there’s a bug system).

Yeah, didn’t figure you knew about it, but I figured it was just because I usually catch them right at midnight when they’re born.  Figured it was just the system catching up with itself.  If I need to report it I will, but she’s officially born now.

Yes, but that’s only because I saw this thread and fixed the bug.

Ah…whoops.  Sorry about that.  :stuck_out_tongue:

No problem. I’d just rather people be over-zealous about using the bug system than not. It’s pretty trivial to mark bugs as non-issues, or known-issues, or already-fixed-issues, so I’d rather do that than have people going “hm, that thing has been acting weird for a while now. oh well, must be part of the plan.”

(Plus, then my OCD cross-things-off-lists side can be all “woo, totally fixed that bug, go me!” Though obviously, I’d rather the code not be buggy at all in the first place.)
