Our final foal FINALLY decided to make her appearance. Sadly, she is promised back to Krajina (as part of the deal to buy back her dam), so she remains unnamed. So I consoled myself with a created filly as well.

This filly is 1/2 to 5yo MSW Ch. Lovespell, 4yo MSW Ch. Sweet Home Alabama, 3yo MSW Ch. Laevateinn, and 2yo SW El Carino…which is why we were so eager to buy back her dam in the first place! All four are bred & owned by us, with the yearling filly having been bred by us but sold in-utero (she’s with Krajina, where this one will be headed in 3 months). I’m jealous - I wish she could stay! Add Magic Glory to the cross, and she’s sure to be a monster.

There’s not much to say about this filly, except that she’s lovely. I’ve had good luck with created babies over the years, so I’m hopeful she’ll find her feet someday. Meanwhile, our mare, Springwalker, who lost her foal at the beginning of the month, has taken this filly under her wing, which seems to suit her just fine.
