So my smallest tapes in at 14.1 with an average of about 15.1 hands. In the past my yearlings have tended to be on the small side so I’m pretty happy with this crop (not that height really means anything but still … lol) My weanlings on the other hand are pretty average I think w/ the smallest taping in at 10 hands and the largest 13 hands, so no giants there!
I have 5 weanlings that just go all over the board…
My tallest is [color=red]Lady Morgaine (redeemed filly) at a whopping 12 hands just for being a few months old-she was born on April 12th. My early guess is she is going to be a monster, finish at 17hh or higher.
In order towards the shortest would be:
– [color=blue]Reach the Point- my Point Given/Sherbet colt is measuring in at 10.3hh
– both my colts, [color=blue]Echo of Thunder (redeemed colt) and [color=blue]Crown Attorney (Harvard Bound/Upstage Dancer) measure in at 10 hands each
– my smallest is my recently purchased filly, [color=red]Fire of Beltane, who stands at a scant 9.3hh
I have two yearlings and two weanlings, three are creates and the fourth is my first homebred foal. :D
Yearlings
[color=red]Fine Detail - July filly, created lines, 14h
[color=red]Later Alligator - January filly, created lines, 16.1 h. She’s always been tall, when I redeemed the points for her and later Fine Detail, I noticed an obvious height difference between them. Fine Detail was a dainty 8 or so hands high and Gator was a whomping 10.2 hands high.
Weanlings

[color=blue]Lonesome Valley - February colt, Echo Park X Alley Cat, 13.1 hands high
So really, my yearlings still beat out my weanlings, but they’re still pretty good looking all things considered. :D
On a new check, Later Alligator is now 17 hh, and Lonesome Valley is now over 14 hh.
Got a mob of youngsters back at the farm, so I’ll post only the shortest and tallest yearlings and weanlings.

All in all we are pretty happy with how everyone is doing. We are super happy that Nightfight seems to be throwing some nice sized foals, and a couple of our mares seem to be pretty consistant with Morning Star and Run Lady Run really throwing good sized foals.
Also, looks as though the fillies got a hold of some of that magic grow. Hope they decide to share with the colts.
