…and also Breeders’ Cup / Breeders’ Stakes. I added links to the races I wrote about in 2022. The winner of QE II Cup was Ch. Blackwind owned by Littlefield. Joe also won the Secretariat Stakes, with Ch. Moscow Mule, and Arlington Million with Ch. Flames of Passion. GCh. Palermo, the stud qualified 2yo colt, won Golden Slipper Stakes.

Also the first one of turf sprints is coming, and Ch. Fire N’ Brimestone is already entered. Last year he won Gr. 2 Jamaica Stakes, which was 8 furlongs on turf; but he lost the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint, in which he finished 7th.

Not as rich as the Pegasus World Cup, but Barrets Stakes is the first on my list of big turf races over shorter distances. The winner is Ch. Maelstrom, bred by Fox Run and owned by Marshall Creek Ranch. It is only his second stakes win, and first Grade 1. There was a full field of 14 horses, track was fast. Maelstrom was closely followed by Ch. Tangled, a filly also belonging to Marshall Creek. Ch. Aristocracy (Coleman Branch) finished 3rd, over four lengths behind her.

Cox Plate in Australia comes next; one furlong longer and open to 3yos as well as older horses. And the purse is six times bigger.

Cox Plate is coming soon. Winx won it four times! Here is her 2018 win:

And the winner of this year’s Cox Plate is Ch. Northern Secrets, a multi-millionaire owned by Littlefield. It was his first start this year.

Dubai Carnival comes next; and the Duty Free for turf sprinters.

Dubai Carnival is today in Final Furlong! In the Duty Free, we have 10 horses entered, including GCh. Bells Beach (Littlefield), the 2021 Classic Horse and Turf Horse of the Year; Ch. Moscow Mule (Littlefield), a millionaire winner of Secretariat Stakes and Sussex Stakes; and Ch. Molten Metal (Black Storm West), a 6yo winner of Manikato Stakes, who will make his first start this year.

The real life equivalent of this race is Dubai Turf I think (?), in which Almond Eye is entered - the Japanese Fillies Triple Crown Winner.

Ch. Secret Victor (Starfish Stables) wins Dubai Duty Free. Bells Beach finished 2nd and Ch. WaterBalloonFight (Semiahmoo Stables) was 3rd.

Next big event is Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup in Hong Kong. The most recent winners are Pakistan Star in real life and GCh. Blackwind (Littlefield) in the game.

And the amazing Japanese filly Almond Eye wins Dubai Turf:

Entries for Queen Elizabeth II Cup are now open! And five horses are already entered, including Ch. Secret Victor, Dubai Duty Free winner.

The real life event will be on April 28th. Pakistan Star, who won last year, will probably run.

And the winner is 4yo Ch. Cologne (Gintara Lodge). It’s his second stakes win, he also scored a speed record earlier this year.
The real life event is in two days.

Next big race is Tattersalls Gold Cup in Ireland. It’s also Kentucky Derby day!

It’s today! Queen Elizabeth II Cup 2019.

Gorgeous grey colt Win Bright wins the QE II Cup 2019. Last year’s winner Pakistan Star finished 5th.

Tattersalls Gold Cup in Ireland is next (followed by Irish Two Thousand Guineas, and then English).

Pretty photo of the winner as the jockey celebrates:

And the winner of Final Furlong’s Tattersalls Gold Cup is Ch. In The Stars (Littlefield). He also won Caulfield Cup earlier this year, earning a speed record.
Two Thousand Guineas in Ireland this coming Wednesday! There are seven horses entered already.

Irish Two Thousand Guineas is this Wednesday, and in real life it has already been run two days ago. The winner was Magna Grecia, and it was 10th win of this race for trainer Aidan O’Brien.

The video is the English 2000 Guineas :slightly_smiling_face: FF version is on the 11th. RL Irish 2000 is usually 2-3 weeks after the English Version. Magna Grecia is expected to run in the Irish version rather than the English Derby.

Haha, sorry! I thought it was the Irish. I’ll leave it, since you explained!

And the winner of Final Furlong’s Irish Two Thousand Guineas is Kirsch (Generous Bloodstock). It’s his first stakes win. Congratulations!

Now Two Thousand Guineas in England  this Saturday!

The winner of English Two Thousand Guineas is Ch. High South (Black Storm West). Congratulations! Prince of Wales Stakes comes next Saturday.

Updates! Final Furlong’s Prince of Wales Stakes winner is GCh. Saturn’s Rings (Krajina). He is seven years old and it’s his first start this year. Congratulations! Bailey’s Irish Champion Stakes in Ireland comes next.
