This is the first time I’m dismayed to see a new foal, haha. Easy Senora, instead of foaling just one day late, foals over a week EARLY. I’ve never had a mare foal more than 1-2 days early. Poor guy, I’ll just have to remember to not race the sucker until he’s about 3.
He’s been named [color=blue]Rapscallion for his troubles. He’s a chestnut colt by Government Secret out of Easy Senora. He’s definitely a preemie, being only 7.2hh. This is Easy Senora’s second foal.

I know how you feel. I had one mare last year who was due Dec 31st. Luckily she managed to “keep her legs crossed” until early in January. Sadly you weren’t as lucky.
Even though he will officially be a Yearling in about 10 days, I would treat him as if he was a Weanling, although that will be easier said than done.
Black Storm woke up to a pleasant surprise this morning! Noplaceforamaiden foaled a few days early to deliver a gorgeous little filly who is almost the spitting image of her mom. By Sleipnir, we’ve decided to name her [color=red]Glenr after one of the mythical horses in Norse mythology (where Sleipnir is found).

Dream of Genie foaled a big and healthy chestnut filly by Lasting Spirit this morning - and a full month early! We’ve decided to name the filly [color=red]Illusionary.

Glitter Rose delivered her first foal today, a smallish but healthy colt by V is for Victory whom we’ve tentatively decided to name [color=blue]War of the Roses.
And we’ve renamed Rapscallion, [color=blue]I’m No Patriot.

We just acquired a ton of mares from Snowbird so holy crap on foals due! Haha.
Things have been pretty quiet so far, but we are expecting a whopping 9 foals within the next week (with 5 in the next 3 days!). We’re very excited and hope they all deliver on time and safely.
As predicted, the first of our big “Due Date Conglomeration” has begun…only with a mare who wasn’t due for another 8 days, haha.
[color=blue]Battle Smoke, What’s Debatable x Justafire (by Fire ‘n’ Smoke). He’s a good-sized colt, and Justafire’s second. He’s the first horse (according to hypo mating) to be bred on a What’s It Worth/Fire ‘n’ Smoke cross, so he’ll be interesting to see mature and run. His name might change (only because we already have War of the Roses, but we’ll see). Justafire will be sent to Doodles for her next date.

[color=red]Sexy Stockings (Turn n’Burn x Divalicious). We were probably looking forward to this foal the most, and here she is! When we first arranged this breeding a year ago, Black Storm was still a newbie in the breeding side of FF and didn’t even know who Rogue and Worth were beyond the latter standing at the time and some horse with Rogue in their name having won a title. So when we leased Divalicious, we honestly browsed the big stables such as Cricket Hill, Stillwater, ect. to see who they had bred to (because they can’t go wrong! Haha). We liked Turn n’Burn, and away Diva went – we never thought for a second that Stockings would be part of his last crop! She’s the first foal o/o multiple winner/placed Divalicious.
And for no real reason we’ve renamed Battle Smoke to Dragon Franchise Heated Debate.

[color=red]Moon Sprite (Lasting Spirit x Meant to Be, by Moonover Boy). Meant to Be delivered a nice big filly by Lasting Spirit last night. She’ll be heading to the sales this fall. Her dam has been put up for lease for this breeding season.
[color=blue]Fire in the Belfry (Ring of Fire x Jezabelle, by War Admiral). Jezabelle gave birth to a smallish but nice-looking colt this early cold morning. He’ll also be heading to the sales this fall since we already own 2 other Jezabelle sons (she seems to like throwing boys), and three Ring of Fire youngsters. We’ve placed her up for lease this breeding season.
Our third mare who foaled, Quiet Silhouette, was bred on a lease so the foal has gone to its owner. She’s been sent to freshman stallion Sixth Day for a 2016 baby.

[color=red]Three Schillings (Point Given x Three Spectacles, by Spectacular Bid). MSW Three Spectacles delivered her second foal sometime in the night, looking every bit like a darkened version of her sire. We expect Three Schillings to grow quite a bit, since mommy and daddy both topped at 17hh. Three Schillings has been sent to Seattle Sorcerer.
[color=blue]Silverthorne (Alley Cat x Cape Cod Rose). Cape Cod Rose delivered her second foal nice and easy, albeit a few days early but he’s a big one! The foal will be sold at the fall youngstock auction. Cape Cod Rose has been sent off for a date with freshman stallion Invasor.

It’s not that we’re trying to sell all colts later, we simply decided which upcoming foals would go to the sale ring regardless of their gender. Chosen foals have just been coming out as males, haha.
