Half to MSW’s GCh. Local Haunt and GCh. Dior, as well as 3 SP’s. We’ve had good luck with Von Lichtenstein so hoping his 2-3yo dirt career will replicate a Local Haunt-like runner.

She had retired last year, but it appears we quietly lost Song of the Sea overnight. We had purchased her from Stillwater Farms six years ago. At the time she had already delivered 5 foals, including a yearling we picked up the year prior. Although not much of a runner, she went on to produce 11 foals, with 100% winners from 9 runners including MSW’s Ch. Sea Salt (the yearling we picked up) and Ch. Star of the Sea, and SW’s Ch. Morecambe Bay and Laridae. Of her foals we own Sea Salt (2018), Star of the Sea (2022), Ionean Sea (2023), and Seattle Song (2025).
She was half to stallion NCh. Fleet Street and half to gold-ranked Reine-de-Course (B/I) Ch. Trail of Smoke (dam of ICh. To Die For).
She was a personal favorite, and we’re glad to have two of her daughters on the farm to continue her legacy.
Sorry for your loss, happy to hear you have two daughters to carry on her line though. 
Sooo sorry for your loss. I know how it feels to lose a cherished mare. Having foals representing your stable is always a plus.

The Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon) is part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve in Chile, with a stunning Mars or moon-like landscape. Half to MSW Ch. Color Run, and SW’s Ch. Samba and Ch. Caleuche. Filly from Chile will visit Cool Crusader for 2027.

First foal for MSW dam. Both parents did extremely well as dirt sprinters. Overall, the damline is fairly unproven (Cabaret being the only black-type runner between her 8 half-siblings, who are all mostly inactive, and she’s only one of two fillies for her dam so no idea how she’ll be as a producer). Hopeful for the Foolhardy/Nightfight/Mr. Prospective cross. Cabaret will visit Local Haunt for 2027.

Unfortunately we lost a wonderful member of the broodmare band last night. Light Up Your Life was due next year, but was suddenly game-retired. Gold-ranked, she produced 10 foals in all, with 100% winners from 7 starters including MSW GCh. Amatus, whom we own, and SW’s Ch. Light of Eärendil and Ch. Light Bringer. In addition to Amatus, we also own her foals Toasted (3yo), Neowise (2yo), and Literary Light (weanling).
@Shanthi She does show as still in foal and due January 6th. As happy as I’d be for her sudden retirement to be a fluke, I presume she should no longer be in foal?

Final foal has (more or less) dropped! I say more or less because I had cashed in AMI points earlier this year for a weanling so my stable overview says I’m still expecting a foal…while also giving me a +1 weanling count versus what I actually have on the ground. Essentially there’s a baby somewhere in the void, but at least all the broodmares have foaled.

I should know better (I should also have waited until I could afford a yearling but points have been broken so it has taken forever just to afford a weanling).

While I’m happy everyone is healthy, I’d be lying if I said I was pleased, haha. I bred Lovers’ Duel ages ago, sold her, and she went on to be a MSW of $6.4M. We picked her up in last year’s Select Auction for a whopping $7M, and she returns the favor by delivering her first foal in December by a stallion we lost this year. Of course! At least he’s also super pretty - black with tons of chrome.
