I’m so excited to see this girl! I’m Yours Joe kept her legs crossed an extra 3 days before delivering a gorgeous filly; we’ve only owned sons up until now! Best Choice is by exceptional sire Candidate and is a half-sister to WCh. I’m Your Angel (S). I’m Yours Joe herself is a half-sister to FFCh. High Chances (G) and GCh. Steal Your Heart (B). She’s been sent to Foolhardy for 2018 to make up for a stillborn she delivered last year. Fingers crossed for a happy foaling next year!

Whoot! Congrats on the lovely filly! Joe is a pretty, pretty mare. 
Unfortunately, we jumped the gun in our excitement with I’m Yours Joe’s foaling. Joe experienced foaling complications a few hours after delivery and was retired. At age 18, she deserved it. I’m Yours Joe was by a created stallion and out of Second Chance §, dam of MSW’s FFCh. High Chances (G), GCh. Steal Your Heart (B), and NCh. Shetan; and MSP’s Ch. Double Jeopardy and Syndication. As a producer, Joe produced 10 foals, with 6 winners from 7 runners including WCh. I’m Your Angel (S), SW Ch. Wizard Joe, Ch. Cup o’Joe, and SP Heart Thunder. Heart Thunder and Best Choice are her only daughters. In addition to Best Choice, we own her sons Field of Diamonds and Dandywine.

Thanks everyone. Losing Joe was quite a blow, as seeing she was our best mare. Hopefully our other girls can start stepping up; most of our girls either having yearlings or 2yo’s as their oldest foals. We definitely won’t be letting Best Choice go!

Dawn Patrol delivered this boy right on time. She’s still rather unproven as a dam but has done pretty okay with 1 winner from 3 runners, but counting a 2yo who debuted this year with a 2nd/10. Shamshir is a type of Persian saber. As a history geek, I’ve always loved ancient Persian history for some reason and I’ve been on a recent Persian/Iranian architecture kick so we followed the theme. Dawn Patrol has been put up for sale.

Jezabelle dropped her Joy foal 5 days earlier than anticipated, and the little guy’s size shows for it (doesn’t help that daddy is a shrimp to begin with). Feux Sauvage roughly means “wild fires” with a reference to his color and Jezabelle’s dam, Devil’s Trademark. Jezabelle is a half-sister to NCH. Devil May Care (S), NCh. Devilish Lass, Ch. Devil’s Own (G), and Ch. Debauchery. She’s the dam of SP War Letters and 1 other winner between two runners. She’s been sold to Marshall Creek.

I really wanted to name her Drop Dead Gorgeous but the name was taken. Executioner foaled just two days early to deliver us a near-copycat of herself. Killer Looks is a half-sister to SW Ch. Crimson Dahlia, SP What a Wizard and SP Hung Up. Executioner has been listed for sale.

Long names actually tend to bug me. Killer Looks is growing on me, though! I do love seeing siblings with themed names; I own her half-siblings Espionage and Political Scandal.
Love both their names! Especially Killer Looks, I think it fits well!
