I am very relieved Lady Amelie decided to keep those legs crossed just one more day and foaled in 2017 rather than her expected December 30th date. Lady Amelie is a SP full sister to NCh. Government Secret and a half-sister to NCh. The First. This is her first foal, and she’s been sold to Marshall Creek (I’m so happy she gave me a filly since the sale was planned a few months back!).

She’s also by my stallion, Joy, so she’s extra special to me. June My Love has been sent to Dark Continent for 2018.

You too, it sucks! We were doing so well, too. At least it’s not as bad as last year yet; I swear I had 3 stillborns within the first 6 foalings.

This is Forever Halo’s fourth foal, with her oldest to hit the track this year (hopefully, FF-owned), so we’re not sure how she’ll do later. I really like Magic Cross and mommy was a MSW of over 500k so I’m hoping she runs really well later down the road! Forever Halo has been sent to Joyeux Oiseau for 2018.

Seeing this girl drop was quite a scare since Dancinginthedark wasn’t due until February 5th! But both mommy and baby are healthy and I’m surprised she came out as big as she did with the early arrival. Dancinginthedark’s oldest foal just turned 3 but managed a 0-3-0 record from 5 starts last year! I really like Major’s Flight so I can’t wait to see what she does. Dancingthedark has been sent to Galaxy’s Zodiac for 2018.
