Let’s start with good news… we have a new filly:
[color=red]Suerte Loca - 9.2h chestnut filly with star and stripe, by ICh. Long Live The King (Bold Ruler), out of Ch. Summer Morning (Almost Home). I chose this stallion because he was Grade 1 stakes level steeplechaser, and Summer Morning was successful in jumping too. I raced Summer Morning and she was very consistent; ran in 51 races during her career. “Suerte loca” means “incredible luck”.
Ch. Summer Morning will be bred to Deep Impact.
Sadly, we lost a foal out of [color=red]Miss Kitty II, our 16 years old broodmare. I wanted to add her to our auction and keep her foal, but since she lost it, I felt that she deserves retirement after giving birth to 10 foals. Although we don’t own any of them… So she’s now our pasture ornament along with two geldings.
Thanks. And I forgot something - of course we do have Miss Kitty’s foal, she’s the dam of our other broodmare, [color=red]Pussycat Doll. So the line will be continued.
Love the name. Sorry to hear she’s had to be retired.
I created a weanling will really miss this option! I promise that it was the last one
[color=red]Faichan Kangri - 9.3h mahogany bay filly (created x created). Isn’t she lovely?
I was thinking of even more exotic name, like B
That’s a sad story Nice of you to name the filly as a reminder though.
April foals start to appear.

We have a new colt.
[color=blue]A Queue Noise - 8.3h chestnut colt by NCh. Joyeux Oiseau, out of Queen Robyn. It’s hard to predict his talents, as both parents have no racing offspring. But the sire was a stakes winner for many years and dam has three speed records. The name is an anagram of the words “queen” and “oiseau”; thanks to Internet Anagram Server. I think it’s just as nice as the famous name generator.
Queen Robyn was supposed to join our Auction, but she kept her foal long enough to stay with us. So she will be bred to Point Given.
Congrats on the healthy Joy baby!
New filly!
[color=red]Prima Aprilis - 9.0h brown filly with markings. By GCh. One Lucky Soul (Cigar sire line), out of Get A Life (created). I have to admit that I didn’t have enough patience for Get A Life, as it took her really long to recover after races. For this reason I’m trying to breed her to studs that raced a lot, and One Lucky Soul ran between 15-20 races each year. And she’s named Prima Aprilis as it’s April Fools’ Day!
Get A Life will be bred to ICh. Gilded Saint.
One little colt with quite interesting pedigree.
[color=blue]Valiente - 8.2h bay colt with a stripe. By War Chant (Danzig) out of Ch. Melodramatic (Sadler’s Wells). He’s inbred 3x3 to Northern Dancer via Danzig and Sadler’s Wells, so very similar pedigree to Frankel! He also has What’s It Worth on his dam side. I have read somewhere that Northern Dancer lines tend to be fragile, so I hope that he will be tough. His dam is injury-free with 26 races in her career, and is multiple stakes placed with two speed records (and she showed in Gr. 1 Garden City Breeders’ Cup). The colt’s name Valiente means “man of courage”.
Ch. Melodramatic will be bred to Deep Impact.
Another boy.
[color=blue]Chiste Guarro - 9.0h dark bay colt by Empire Maker, out of stakes placed Pandora’s Box (NCh. Seattle Sorcerer). Pandora’s Box is out of gold ranked Colors Waving, dam of multi-millionaire stallion NCh. Aptitude. The real-life Empire Maker has sired incredible filly Royal Delta, and real-life Seattle Slew was a famous Triple Crown winner. “Chiste guarro” means “dirty joke”.
Pandora’s Box will be bred to NCh. Silver Wizard for a 3x3 inbreeding to platinum ranked Highland Sorceress, dam of five injury-free millionaires.
Colts!
[color=blue]Don Galante - 9.1h liver chestnut colt by ICh. Prince Of Wonder, out of GCh. Private Party. She was my best racehorse when I raced her, and the sire won really a lot around the world, although he was a bit fragile. The colt should be a turf specialist and I hope that he will be sound. Don Galante means “Mr. Charming”… and I only have one other liver chestnut foal!
GCh. Private Party will be bred to FFCh. I’m No Fool and the foal will be 3x3 inbred to What’s It Worth.
[color=blue]Rozagante - 10.2h brown colt by GCh. One Lucky Soul, out of Roll of Quarters (created). I claimed the mare when she was five years old and retired her soon, so she was mostly raced by Final Furlong. But she almost earned a Champion title and was sound all the time. Rather a stayer. Earned some speed records too. Rozagante means showy, striking, proud.
Roll of Quarters will be bred to ICh. Ring of Fire.
One little overdue filly with precious real-life sire lines.

We still have four foals due, but I wanted to make a summary now, and then I’ll add the other babies.
Jun 16, 2017 - first height update.
17 fillies:
[color=red]Adelita - 11.1h - 12.1h
[color=red]Cajoled Chant - 11.1h - 12.0h

I love the idea of keeping track of heights! Tempted to do this myself.
