Whew! Well, I’ve been gone for a while due to school and life and such, and get back to find three new babies! All colts.

WCh. Express Yourself x NCh. Morning Waits
January 1, 2016
So excited for this little guy! Express Yourself was a beast on dirt and turf, while Morning Waits is one of my favorites. She was an excellent turf performer and had a record of good record on dirt as well so I am excited for his prospects!

GCh. Simply Heroic (B) x Easy Does It (B)
January 4, 2016
This guy should turn out to be a decent little runner. Doozy has produced 7 winners from 8 starters and Simply Heroic is a nice stallion. He’s named after Jon Osterman, or Dr. Manhattan, from Watchmen because I am easily amused and Manhattan was already taken as a name.

ICh. Doodles x Back North (B) by Northern Dancer (S)
January 8, 2016
I love Doodles so I am pretty excited for this colt. Back North has been a decent producer; with only three foals on the ground, two are winners and one is stakes placed.

8.2hh dapple gray filly
NCh. Government Secret (S) x Bellona
Polona looks almost exactly like her mom but with a bit more chrome. Hopefully she will take after her and her dad’s two year old form! Government Secret was a beast as a 2 year old, and while Bellona only ran in allowances she won both of them before tailing off. Would like for her to turn into a decent little runner.
Peals is a lovely little guy, not a lot of chrome though. I’m a sucker for greys. Dad’s first crop has their first starts this year, while this is Frankie’s first live foal. Frankie had a decent record, but she wasn’t raced until 4 and didn’t start winning until the next year, so I have a feeling it will be a while before this guy shows his true colors.
I was very tempted to name this filly Blitzkrieg Socks but have refrained so far (it’s very tempting though). Black Warrior is out of gold- and silver-rated parents and did pretty well on the track, while Gone Punk never did too much on the track. Her first foal will run this year, while Black Warrior’s first foals are weanlings.
First off, if anyone has any name suggestions I am very open to them. It seemed like a good idea when I named him at 2 in the morning but now I am not so crazy about it! Slew is going to be a pretty tiny colt, as both his parents are barely over 15 hands. Both were steeplechasers, and while Slew O’Scots raced until he was four, Lil began her career at five and raced until six so I’m not really sure when the colt will mature. Lil was 5-4-1-0, with her only loss coming in a race under 11.5 furlongs. I’m hoping this guy will grow up to be a steeplechasing beast.
