Well I’ve spent years trying to get in to the Horse Expo, and FINALLY I believe I’ve made it! The local Appy Groups are a bit select and say they want you to come but never call. So I believe I’m going to be in the Equi-Stretch Demos, with my Mare!
I can’t wait, I’m so nervous, rode her in a dressage saddle for the first time in a long time yesterday, and it wasn’t TOO bad. But I realize just how little riding I’ve done over the past months. This is my Mare.

Of course those were taken before another horse decided to EAT her tail down. Ugh! Course I guess now she looks like a true appy!
Very pretty mare! She looks like she’s a pretty mover, too! I’ve always wanted to ride dressage, but never had the horse to ride dressage with, plus I would have to go about 100 miles away to find a stable to trains dressage and the real English diciplines. The closest I get is my all around pleasure horse who is amazing at hunter seat pleasure, hunter under saddle, and equitation.
I’ve always wanted to do to the Expo, too. My judging team has won a few trips but we’ve had to turn both down because no one else could go… It should be a lot of fun for you, and good luck in the Demos!
The western states? I’m in Washington, where will the expo be taking place. Maybe if you come near me I’ll go and I’ll look for your mare, and we can talk about appys (I have an appy gelding)!
Horse Expo happens every year at Cal Expo in Sacramento. The lady decided at the last minute she didn’t need my horse. But that’s ok. It’s over and I spent time with the Morgan people at the Expo. Hopefully we can get a good showing of appys there one day. The appy one sucked big time with just two horses, but they don’t contact people to get help so what can I say.
Then again as my personal riding horse, and having to support her on my own, I have to sell her due to hard times. Hee hee know of anyone up there that would be interested in her? She’s had 2 great foals.

I wish I could ride a horse but up here there’s virtually no horses around.
