My first time with a thread for this, as I have a decent-sized crop this year. One mare was due December 28 and despite my hopes that she’d be just a few days late, she decided today was as good a time as any. I bought her with high hopes as a broodmare (she’s silver-rated), so I have high hopes for this baby. Too bad she’ll have to get a “late” start, but that only matters in the first couple racing seasons.

Northern Sister is silver-rated, and her 4yo filly (GCh. American Dance) is hitting her stride this season, blowing it out of the park. This filly may be a later bloomer, so I’m not too depressed about the unfortunate early start, lol. Northern Sister has a date with Candidate in a couple months.

Slew O’Secrets is one of my sentimental favorites, and this is her first foal. She was just good enough on the track for me to excitedly await the racing results, but I’m more excited to see how she does as a broodmare. She’s one of the better-bred mares I have; she’s going to class up the joint. She’s (hopefully) going to I’m Your Angel this year, get some Worth blood mixed with her Rogue lines.

I have high hopes for this colt, as his half brother (Sweeney Todd) is one of my better horses and I’m hoping it’s partly the dam’s influence (lol). Untilwemeetagain is an unraced broodmare, I think one of my first horses I “created” when I joined the game. A total wildcard, but she appears promising. As I need money, she’s up for lease for 2019.

I bought this mare already in foal and kept in her Australia, so now I have my first overseas-bred foal. Starbound is still in AUS, and she’s now in foal to Highland Burning.

This filly came a couple weeks early and is a little sprite, but both her parents are 15hh, so she’ll no doubt be a small racehorse. Momma was an early bloomer, though not a star, and daddy got better in his 3yo season, so this filly will hopefully have a bit more longevity than her dam had. This is Pearl Of Alydar’s second baby, and she’s going to Demand the Best for 2019.
