What's Debatable

It is with sadness that we announce the Retirement of What’s Debatable.

The following mares who were early bred to him are no longer in foal:-
Fleeting Beauty        (Cricket Hill)
Firefly                        (Windward Farm)
Sadie Hawkins          (Edgewood Stud)
Riddle Me This          (Littlefield)
Swing Vote              (Paradoux)
Raindrops On Roses (Stillwater Farms)
Dapper Don              (KindleHope Farms)
Royal Pain                (Mayfair)
The Fire Rose          (Seaside Stables)

In addition, the following mare had a booking to him and the owner will need to book her with another sire:-
Bad Duchess            (Silver Pond Farm)

If the above owners want to rebook their mares to any other Starfish stallion (Black Warrior and Blue Smoke are standing at the same fee as What’s Debatable was, $15,000), if you make the bookings and let me know before you actually breed your mare, I will change the fee to $0. I will also accept bookings to Tottenham Hotspur (normal fee $25,000) for the same mares for no additional fee. You are also welcome to rebook your mares to either of the other four Starfish stallions, Golden Text, Magic Glory, Major’s Flight or Mantle of Power for no additional fee, if you would like, although their normal fee is only $10,000.

Please let me know what your choice is.

Oh, what a bummer. I was wondering why Fleeting Beauty was suddenly unbred.

My condolences, Lewis. It’s sad to see him retire, but he certainly earned it.

Hi, We are sending Sadie Hawkins to visit Golden Text.

Sorry, Lewis. He had a great career.

I’m still aiming for the Worth cross, though, so I’m sending ROR to What’s Your Point.

Sorry to hear that Lewis. Hope he has a long and happy retirement.

I have adjusted the fee for Sadie so you can go ahead and breed her. Good luck with the foal.

Shanthi - What about refunds for those owners (like you, for example) who early bred mares to What’s Debatable and choose not to rebook their mares to either Black Warrior, Blue Smoke or Tottenham Hotspur, or who choose one of the other four stallions whose fees are lower? I had made the offer of the free re-bookings so they wouldn’t lose out and to try and save you needing to manually set up these refunds.

The code automatically does refunds. If you search your budget you shouldn’t come up with any entries for those mares, and those owners shouldn’t have any entries for breeding to WD, either.

I’ve looked through my budget and the entries for those mares are still there.

Shoot! That’s a tough loss.  He was a great stud.

Do you mind filing a bug for that? It should have happened.
