Sweepstakes! Since that’s how you “strike it rich”.
Thanks guys! I’m going with Shanthi’s Strike A Pose Love all the names though and will keep in mind for other SIR foals!
Edit: Strike A Pose was taken so I went with Sweepstake.
Cute name
A filly has arrived four weeks late…
[color=red]Avenue Montaigne is a bay filly with no markings standing at 8.2h. She is by Alley Cat who is a younger sire with an impressive race record. Hasn’t produced much in the way of star horses yet, but I’m picking his progeny will be late maturers (he wasn’t a stakes winner until 4YO). This filly is out of Silver-rated stakes winner Hollywood Memories who is from the magic Hollywood Queen line. Should be a nice filly and will be tough to decide whether she is sold when it comes to culling time! I named her after Paris’s premier shopping street.

Summary: 16 foaled (nine [color=blue]colts, six [color=red]fillies), one stillborn, no deceased mares, 46 foals left for 2015
Another colt!
[color=blue]The Fighter is a bay colt with no markings standing at 9.2h. He’s by Nightfight who was one of the game’s top racers with a great record from 4YO through 6YO. He has nice lines and his first crop hits the track this year which should be exciting although I wouldn’t expect them to be early maturers if his lines pass through strongly. The Fighter is out of Unshakeable who is a stakes winning (Gr.3) half-sister to King David and also Out of Tune. This is her second foal - her first was a stillborn Nightfight filly so glad this boy arrived safe and sound! He’ll most likely appear in our 2YO sale.

Summary: 17 foaled (10 [color=blue]colts, six [color=red]fillies), one stillborn, no deceased mares, 45 foals left for 2015
Love the name, Jason. =)
Thanks Cat!
A filly…
[color=red]Hometown Glory is a 8.2h dark bay filly with a bald face. She’s by the fantastic racer and Silver-rated Magic Glory who’s progeny seem to be doing well. She’s out of stakes winner Dancing Girl (Gr.2) who’s first foal will race this year (she does have a stillborn who would have been older). This filly is named after a song by Adele who I absolutely love. She’ll most likely appear for sale in our 2YO auction.

Summary: 18 foaled (10 [color=blue]colts, seven [color=red]fillies), one stillborn, no deceased mares, 44 foals left for 2015

Cute foal!
Bah… Lost a filly from a Gold-rated mare…
[color=red]Unnamed was by Devil His Due and out of my Gold-rated Mumbojumbo. Very disappointed that I lost this one - dam has five raced foals, all winners and four are stakes winners. Have sent her to Point Given for her next foal. Fingers crossed that goes all fine.

Summary: 19 foaled (10 [color=blue]colts, seven [color=red]fillies), two stillborn, no deceased mares, 43 foals left for 2015
Awe sorry to hear you lost her. Feel free to send her back anytime.
Next year perhaps! Thanks Holly
A colt arrived today…
[color=blue]Jerusalem is by King David and out of stakes winner Five Star Hotel (Gr.2). He’s a decent sized (9.1h) dark grey colt. Sire was one of the game’s finest and is doing reasonably well through his progeny. Dam is from created lines and was lightly raced. Her oldest foal is a 2YO. This boy will most likely be sold at some stage. The King David in Jerusalem is probably the leading five star hotel in the city, hence the name.

Summary: 20 foaled (11 [color=blue]colts, seven [color=red]fillies), two stillborn, no deceased mares, 42 foals left for 2015
Great name.
Thanks!
So glad that this latest is a filly…
[color=red]Your Song is a 9.1h bay filly with a snip. She’s by Gunningdownromance who was a fantastic runner clocking up an impressive mantle piece including two Breeders’ Cup Classics. His first foals hit the track this year. Your Song is out of my Silver-rated High Times (Gr.1) who is very well bred with Gold-rated parents on both sides, sire Highland Rogue and dam Times Ebony (making her half to World Champions Nightfight and Gotta Go). Your Song is 3/4 to SW Nomad (Gr.2) and MSW Madam President (Gr.1). Your Song’s full brother Aficionado starts his career this year. The Worth-Rogue cross works fantastically! High Times is going back to Candidate for a full to Madam President this year. And finally, she’s named after one of my favorite songs of all time…

Summary: 21 foaled (11 [color=blue]colts, eight [color=red]fillies), two stillborn, no deceased mares, 41 foals left for 2015
Two more to report.
[color=blue]Kind of Blue is a 9.0h bay colt. He’s by All Jazzed Up who is one of my favorite horses. He’s out of one of my star mares Mark My Word who is a multiple Grade One winner including a Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (which she also placed in the year before winning). This is her second foal by All Jazzed Up, the first being a yearling filly. Kind of Blue is an album by American jazz legend Miles Davis and is regarded as one of the best jazz albums in history. This boy is a keeper!
[color=red]Cell Block Tango is a 9.1h bay filly. She’s by Witness, a young sire with a Bronze rating with one raced crop. She is out of my Bronze-rated Lucked Out, a winner who isn’t doing too bad as a broodmare with two stakes-placed and a stakes winner from three foals (all winners). I named this one after my favorite part of the musical Chicago. I will probably sell this filly at some stage…

Summary: 23 foaled (12 [color=blue]colts, nine [color=red]fillies), two stillborn, no deceased mares, 39 foals left for 2015
Two more to report before my onslaught (I think) of April arrivals. I think these two arrived early actually.
[color=blue]Schumacher is a short 8.0h dark bay colt. He’s by the awesome A.P. Indy who has a long legacy of siring very nice racers. His dam is Immortal Diva who was a Grade One winner on the track. This is her third foal; her first races this year as a 2YO. She’s out of Reine-de-Course broodmare Lasting Impression. I named this boy after one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time. Yes, not Indy, but I don’t really know the difference… Will probably sell this colt.

Another filly!
[color=red]Supermodel is a nice tall blue roan filly at 9.3h. Her sire is the remarkable Strider who is bred brilliantly being by Highland Rogue and out of Seeing Starz (both Gold-rated). Her dam is multi-stakes winner Silver Screen (Gr.2). Silver Screen is also very well bred being by Lucky Cigar (S) and out of Platinum-rated mare Hollywood Silver who herself is out of the Reine-de-Course mare Hollywood Queen. I will most likely be holding onto this filly (although 60+ is going to be hard to cull…).

Summary: 26 foaled (13 [color=blue]colts, 11 [color=red]fillies), two stillborn, no deceased mares, 36 foals left for 2015
Nice filly, love her parentage
