Unable to bid in auction

I am trying to spend money in the Generous Auction. I can get as far as Bid > Place My Bid!, but when I click this final button I just get a blank page and my bid doesn’t appear.

I tried to place a bid on one horse, Ancient Fire, https://www.finalfurlong.org/viewhorse.php?horse=13795,
Before I placed my bid, the horse showed that Stillwater had a bid of $1,000 on it already.
After I placed my bid, the horse now shows that we are the HIgh Bidder but that the high bid was still $1,000.
If you look at the bidding history, it shows both Stillwater’s bid and our bid.
