I dont know about you, and this could be more of a Northeast thing, but I have been looking forward to the matchup in the Travers this weekend. I have a soft spot for Bluegrass Cat, its the whole, I love cats and Storm Cat has always been a great sire thing, but both him and Bernadini look like the class of this years 3 year olds, at least with Barbaro retired. Its a nice race to hold me over to the Breeders Cup. Anyone else?
Yeah Bernardini & Bluegrass Cat have the race by the horns (or by the lead ). They ar ethe 2 horses that stand out to me. But then you’ve got Fleet Indian and the others deffinately can do well or even win because they wouldn’t be entered in the race if they were claimers thats for sure!!
Has Bernardini raced since the Preakness?
If he hasn’t I’m excited to see if the Preakness was a fluke or if he is really good.
Bernardini has my vote and my dollars sitting on his tail , so I hope he wins. Bluegrass Cat is a great horse too; I love his name.
No, Bernardini hasn’t raced, or so I think. Don’t trust me, I don’t have a lot of time on my hands to figure this stuff out. -hides in corner-
Bluegrass Cat all the way. I’ve never really been a fan of Bernardini. I was invited to go to the Travers on Saturday with my friend, but I have a rabbit show! Oh well. It’s too hectic there, anyway, on Travers. You can’t even move, haha. Someday, though…
Bernadini ran up in Saratoga, though I can’t remember what the race was called it was a stakes Race. I know either Lawyer Ron or Sinister Minister was there, as well as Hemingway’s Key and he smoked them both. It was the weekend before the Haskell at Monmouth, which Bluegrass Cat won in a walk, though I believe the competition was weaker.
Thinking back on Bernadini’s race, his jockey did not even use the whip or really pushed him at all, he just blew them all away on his own.
It was the Jim Dandy. I can’t believe I forgot!!!
Who, I’m excited. I really like Bernadini.
