Training ..whats your secret

Im  currently learning to train my horses …to get away from  F energy and F fitness
Some of my horses I sent to farm to get the energy up past F…when they get to A the fitness level is down to D-F.
Does the fitness/and Energy levels  energy have to be A-B before you race.

I started this routine.

Workout
Sunday  Walk  1 mile  Jog  1 mile
Monday Jog 1 mile Canter 1 mile
Tuesday Gallop 1/2 mile Walk 1 mile
Wednesday Breeze 3 furlongs
Thursday Walk 1 mile
Friday Jog 1 mile Canter 1 mile
Saturday Gallop 1/2 mile Walk 1 mile

What does some of the bigger stables do  for training…

I’m not sure if I qualify as a big stable but I don’t do anything, most of the time lol

I’m not a big stable either but I’m currently juggling 27 racehorses. I’m a very hands-on “trainer” and train them as I see fit. It’s quite a workout for my brain,  ::)

The first thing I do is pay attention to how fast each horse regains energy. Some of my horses regain energy fast and maintain fitness at the same time, so I don’t mess with them much. Others spend weeks at D/F before suddenly jumping up to A/B while their fitness goes down to D/F. In this case I only lightly walk or jog them and I only do it once or twice a week. I also keep in mind which races I’m targeting so I fit my training to them. If one of my horses loses energy off of a mile jog at 20% and regains energy very slowly, and if the race is on Saturday, I give him the workout the previous Saturday or Sunday and let him regain it in time for the race.

Also keep in mind that these horses don’t need constant training like in real life, so you really don’t have to touch them. I mainly train my horses when their next race isn’t for two weeks, when I need to test out new equipment/jockey/surface, or when I want a good idea of where a horse’s NE level is.
