Shanthi is probably familiar with the stats surrounding Mae and Ginia, but I thought I’d introduce 'em because I finally have (sucky) pictures of them. It felt like it was in the single digits today, and there was a wind blowing from behind. This means that they were moving around while tied, trying to make it so the wind wasn’t going up their rear end. Plus they were standing on a slant. The result? Pictures that don’t really reflect their confirmation.

I’m still learning to work with digital cameras–the last time I shot pictures it was with an ancient SLR. I’ve lightened up the pictures in photoshop for Ginia, because she just came out dark. That’s why the snow looks so funny.

Neither are mine–they both belong to a friend. In high school I used to ride Mae and now I ride Ginia when I’m home.

Heh. That face and those teeth regularly lean over the fence and try to take a chunk out of Ginia. Ginia has a patch the size of a 50 cent piece on her neck that is completely hairless, thanks to Mae. I’m surprised I didn’t get more of Mae making faces at me. I guess she thought the camera was food.

Hey Cat, you wouldn’t happen to know the brand of that ancient SLR, would you? Do you still have it? I’m very interested in photography and am kind of looking for new cameras/lenses. Just wondering :slight_smile:

Unfortunately no. It belonged to my mom’s now ex-bf. So he took it with him when he moved to Chicago.

A friend of mine is taking photo in college, and her film SLR seems pretty darn modern. I’d probably just go to a film shop and talk to the people who own it, even if they don’t sell cameras.
