Suggested Stud Fees

Now that we’ve got breeding rankings, it is easier (hopefully) to quantify stallions as being of X quality.  To that end, I’ve come up with the following suggested stud fee range.

All Final Furlong studs will follow these guidelines, by the way.

Platinum Studs: $100,000+
Gold Studs: $50,000-$99,000
Silver Studs: $30,000-$49,000
Bronze Studs: $0-$29,000
Unranked Studs: $0-$29,000 (Depending on success on the track)

These are just guidelines, obviously, but keep in mind that if you have a bronze rated stud and you’re charging $75,000 stud fee for him, he’s probably not going to get many mares if people can breed to a gold rated stud for the same (or less) money.

I have a question… should there be a higher stud fee for Chef-de-Race stallions also? I mean besides their Breeding Rank? say you have a Silver ranked stallion and he’s also Chef-de-Race… wouldn’t you want to have him at a slightly higher stud fee than just a Silver ranked stallion?

I guess that’s at the owner’s discretion.
