SUGGEST: Famous Studs in 2020

Unless anything changes between now and January, it looks like all of FF’s current famous studs will stand again (in real life) in 2016.

Currently we have 10:
Animal Kingdom
Bernardini
Curlin
Deep Impact
Frankel
Giant’s Causeway
Invasor
Monarchos
Mucho Macho Man
Sea the Stars

I’m going to setup a poll in the next few days for the list of studs we want to use next year. I’d like to stay at 10 famous studs, so if we add any new ones, someone would have to retire.

Feel free to plug any stallions that you want to be considered for adding to the game. Requirements:

  • Must be aged 12 or younger - 2004 as the oldest year of birth (we’d like to keep them around for some time)
  • Must be a “standout” candidate for some reason - multiple Gr 1 wins, unique bloodlines, etc (must be a stakes winner of some sort in real life)
  • Must not duplicate existing game bloodlines too much (e.g. no sons of famous studs already in the game, etc)

Please list more than just their name - give their pedigree, race highlights, etc. Make your case - why should they be in the game?

I’m going to assume that American Pharoah will get a plug, so consider him counted for the poll already.

8 Starts: 5 - 1 - 1, $1,506,000
He had a short career, but I think he’s famous… and he already produced some champions. From Coolmore’s page:

Winner of the Breeders

He lost in the 2018 poll, so he only had one year in the game.

Ah ok. Also damsire Storm Cat is in the game, but retired with a very small crop. Actually, I like to choose famous studs with other famous studs in their pedigree, because the dosage looks usually better  Anyway, I really like Sidney’s Candy’s conformation, looks very strong and balanced…

copy and pasted these from last years thread

[color=blue]Dunaden - 9yo bay stallion by Nicobar (a rare Byerley Turk sireline), out of La Marlia (Kaldouneeves)

[i]"Everything about Dunaden suggests he can become a successful sire - he is an extremely attractive individual, both in looks and temperament, he is a triple Group 1 winner, rated 130 by Timeform, and he won more than

Nice picks.

I’ll leave suggestions open until next week sometimes in the hope that we can wrap up voting before 2020.

Maybe also these boys…
