Just wanted to let everyone know I will be gone from May 23 to June 25. I am going to Germany to finish up my minor. My host family doesn’t have internet (!) so I don’t when/if I will be able to get on here and check on my stable.
Ooh, have fun! Germany’s on my list to visit.
Be prepared for crazy drivers over here, I swear I hate going anywhere because everyone tries to run you over. Where in Germany, I am in Kaiserslautern?
Oh and if you have a laptop with wifi you can find places to log on!
I’ll be in Wittenberg most of the time, with weekend trips to Berlin and Dresden. I’ll also have a free weekend but I haven’t decided where I’m going to go yet. Any suggestions? 
Well twell me what you are interested in you can’t throw a cat without finding something interesting to do. There is aushwitz or dachau concentration camps, there are tons of castles, there is Frankenstein village/castle ruins, big museum in Berlin with a huge Egyptian section, there is a town that has a choc factory and museum you can tour(we plan to do that) ,heidleberg has a huge castle,grounds and ruins, lots of stuff, give me an idea and I will have my hub look up some things for you, he will be planning our summer trip shortly. Tell me the town you will be in and how far you want to travel, and I am sure we can find you a few choices. I recommend a GPS most of the car rental places have them in the cars or to rent with the car. Just do NOT leave anything visible in a vehicle over here, it will most likely get stolen, always lock your car and put stuff in the trunk or take it with you. The big cities are worse due to people stealing electronics for drugs. Oh duh you said whittenburg, we will go from there, just let me know if you want a day trip or plan an overnight stay. Thence can figure distance and times . . Too bad ita a couple hours from where I am, about an hour from here is a huge ikea I want to go shopping there before we move back in November.
