We seem cursed with Holy Bull this year. 
This morning we discovered a beautiful filly with first-time mother Darkest Secret (MSW daughter of Secretariat). Unfortunately, she had breathing problems and we lost her.
We can’t send Darkest Secret back for another try as Holy Bull is retired, but she’ll get a few weeks off and visit Ghostzapper.

Spell Breaker was over two weeks past her due date, and the stress of foaling was too much for her. She haemorrhaged a few hours after this guy was born and we couldn’t save her. We got this boy, thankfully the picture of health, and his big sister (by What’s Your Point), at least. We also own her half-sister, SP Arizona Dream (by High Chances).

Losing such a phenomenal mare must be hard, especially when she only had five foals before her passing. I’m glad you managed to acquire a few foals by her before her passing. Con Dar is a fantastic and fitting name, and with a sire like Candidate, I hope he does his dam proud!
Thanks! We paid $500k for the mare in 2015, so I’m hoping the two babies we have from her are worth it.
