I
Forgot to add that all reserves are $5k.
Oh no.
You know you want to… >:D
Oh great… Just what we need… more broodmares…
Oh, I very much want. I just need to figure out who I want more than others because I typically can only go so far in the inevitable bidding war for your horses!
Wild Rumors has foaled a colt by Slip In The Mud. I will put him up for sale for $0 to whichever stable buys her in the auction.
Bidding is open, enjoy!
Shanthi - is there any possibility you could remove my bid on Dodge The Draft? Using my mobile as away faith work and I accidentally selected her instead of another horse without realising.
Done.
Thank you!
Waiting on one outstanding bid but very happy with the ponies we’ve secured so far.
We thought [color=red]ICh Blackbird (The Black X WCh Highland Raven) would be way out of our price range so quite shocked to get her for a relatively cheap $75,000. She’s a half-sister to NCh Slew O’Scots, ICh Priceless, GCh Cuckoo and ICh Starling. She’s silver ranked and due to foal in April so we’ve got some time to work out who she’ll visit next.
[color=red]GCh Make A Bid (Highland Pride X Spectacular Times) was perhaps even more of a bargain at $5,000. She’s half to ICh Spectacular Lady and WCh Usain Bolt. She’ll visit Quarren later this year.
[color=red]Consider Yourself is a MW 4yo by Giant’s Causeway X NCh You Belong. She’s half to ICh Sleipnir and NCh Robin Hood. She’s having a rest at the farm before returning to the track.
We also picked up [color=blue]Juvenal a 3yo half-brother to WCh Strike It Rich by Express Yourself. Cost $23,000. He won and placed last year. Hopefully he’ll improve at 3.
Really surprised to pick up such quality horses for bargain prices! Thanks for offering them Shanthi!
Good luck with them. Rather surprised at the low prices myself, but good homes are the important bit.
Looks like we really have a lot of horses nowadays, it’s hard to sell them for much! I took Ch. Full of Glory for only $5,000. She’s my 3rd 2005 mare, but the other two don’t have as many foals. A daughter of one of them is also my broodmare now. And she’s only my second Millionaire broodmare; the first is Pinoit who won Gr. 1 Breeders’ Cup SC Distaff Endurance.
I think I’ll breed Full of Glory to Blame; she has an Eclipse Award for 2yo filly, while Blame was the 2010 Eclipse Champion Older Male in real life. And he looks pretty.
I had all eyes on obtaining [color=red]Song of the Sea (S), and I was quite surprised (and happy!) to pick her up for $28,000. Daughter of Seabiscuit and half to 6 MSW’s including NCh. Fleet Street (S, G as broodmare sire), GCh. Lady Rogue (S), Ch. Trail of Smoke (P, dam of To Die Foe), and NCh. Ring of Smoke. I already one of her daughters, Sea Salt, who will debut this year. She’s been sent to Away the Lads for 2021.
[color=red]Vermeil came home for just $5,000, which was a shocker. She’s only 4, so I’m hoping she has plenty of mileage still in her. Granted, I completely missed the fact she had been switched to SC two starts ago, but she did win her SC debut! Also nabbed her as a future broodmare prospect, being a granddaughter of Hollywood Queen § through her damline.
Added youngsters [color=blue]Honeydew Snort, a 3yo by Point Given out of ICh. SpectacularDiamond, by Spectacular Bid; and the ridiculously-named but wonderfully-bred [color=blue]Love Chicken, a 2yo by the talented I’m Your Angel. They cost 9k and 5k, respectively.
I took home more horses than I initially planned, but no regrets! I’m also happy I didn’t spend nearly as much as I thought I would.
I’ve increased the buying limit if anyone wants to go back for one more.
I really hope one/both of them get studified.
And selling them seems to be the best way to do it.
Congrats to all the new owners, I hope your acquisitions do well for you.
