Just a note to members (especially new ones) that there is no Breeders’ Series qualification/nomination for stallions. If you breed to a stallion and want the foal to be eligible for the Breeders’ Series, you nominate the foals you bred in that year, regardless of what happens with the stallion or who owns him.

Shanthi - I am confused (this seems to be becoming a frequent occurrence for me recently). The BS Nominations Screen says
“Nomination of a foal crop allows the foals from that year’s crop to be raced in the Breeders’ Series races.
Nomination fee is $10,000 (per 10 foals) for an annual nomination to the Breeders’ Series races.”

I was reading this as meaning that a Stallion Owner would nominate the foals from that Stallions crop for that year. From what you are saying, it sounds like it is the responsibility of the Foals owner to nominate it for the BS.

If it is the case that it is the Foals owner’s responsibility, does the $10,000 per 10 foal fee apply regardless of the sire of each of the 10 foals?

It says nothing about stallions, stallion owners, etc.

It is a BREEDERS series, not a Breeding Stallion Owners’ Series. If you BREED a foal, you can nominate that foal (when it’s of racing age) to run in that year’s Breeders’ Series.
