Hi,
due to the largish number of mares that FFGodolphin owns and several fillies retiring early next year I think it would be a good idea to have a stallion “in house”, unfortunately I don’t know a stallion prospect as most of my best racers are geldings … I was wondering if anybody was willing to lease a fairly proven stallion for next year (2015).

these kinds of posts shanthi does not like on the board just asking anyone , if there is one you are interested in thats the way to go about it. since the stallion qualifications went up its hard to get one to stud, and you are less likely to find someone that will want to part with one. not to mention the taxes that have to be paid on all stud services. most people that have studs will give multiple discounts if you send more than one mare, that would be the best way to go about it, or wait for next yrs select auction again, and try to get a stud there.
Seconded. I would go and contact stables individually. Usually those stables with several stallions (i.e. 4+) may be amenable. I know some stallions have been leased, so it is possible. Expect to pay for it, as the loss of a stallion is lost income–especially if he’s “proven.”
There are only 74 privately owned studs in the game. Pick the ones you’re interested in, contact those owners, and hope for the best. Generally speaking, once someone has gone to the trouble of getting a colt studified or buying a qualified stallion, they want to campaign/manage him themselves, not lease him out.
