With the excitement of foaling season upon us, we had an early foal watch and held our breaths as the first few foals waited for the clock to strike midnight to enter the world. Introducing our first foals of the season;

Foaled January 1st

A Slew Indeed is the first foal of Ch. Seattle’s Hope who was purchased from Sheldrake Racing. Not sure what to expect from this little girl. May be for sale in the future.

Luv My Chance is the first foal of Ch. Stay Forever who was purchased from Sheldrake Racing. Not sure what to expect from this little girl. May be for sale in the future.

(GCh. Must Be Magic (S) x Ch. Rosie’s River)
Liver Chestnut - Colt - 7.3h

This is Ch. Rosie’s River’s first live foal. After delivering a still born colt last year she was rebred to GCh. Must Be Magic. This guy is tiny but we are excited to have him, and looking forward to him racing in 2017.

Ch. Fighting Shot was one of my starter horses, and I’m excited that her first foal is a filly by the recently retired Rahy (G). We are so looking forward to seeing this filly run on grass in 2017.

This is Secret Word’s third foal her first will hit the track this spring.

Edit: after a few days with her new foal we noticed Spectacular Powers was colicing, she was rushed off for emergency surgery and is recovering fine. We have decided to retire her from brood and she will join the others in the retired pasture after weaning her foal.
