We have 14 foals expected this year! The most we’ve had so far. The first arrived last night:

The most anticipated foal of the year! I raced his dam for most of her career, and she had great success, winning, placing or showing in 8 graded stake races. I have very high hopes for this boy!

I wanted to name him Wesley, but that was unfortunately taken. I like Mediterranean too. :slight_smile:

We should have a lot of foals coming in the next week or so. We have SEVEN mares with due dates between now and February 6th! That’s half of our to-be weanling crop.

He’s about a week early, but super tiny! He’s the smallest of Flirt’s foals so far. I was hoping for a non-chestnut, but I’m grateful he’s healthy. His big brother Tizaflirt (by Tiznow) is Flirt’s only foal to race so far, and is doing very well!

Two foals arrived last night. Unfortunately, Barton’s Cross delivered a stillborn colt by Rumor Has It. However, our other foal was born healthy.
