So over the summer I was
given this mare, whom all along I knew was tattooed… She’s an aged mare, yet acts like a
grumpy 2 y/o…lol… But her NAME!?!
I think this one can be added to the bad
Thoroughbred names here guys: (drumroll please!) ICY MOMMA BEAR! How ridiculous!
Just
thought I’d share…
No thank god! Her barn name
is Alexis, or Lexi for short… much better…lol
crazy PA breeders…

Were the people who named
her inspired by a trip to bear country during winter, because that name is, well…
Sad.
That is one of the worst
names I have ever heard. I’ve heard retarded walking horse names, quater horse names, and
paint names. But Icy Momma Bear is just… really super sad. I don’t believe I’d admit my
horses name was like that

How about stupid Appaloosa
names? (Jet Away Babe)
Mr. Tramp. QT Crystal Bear.

Grr Your Evil (horses name,
not directed at people, lol)
I found out she has a
daughter by a hanoverian stallion… her daughter has a much prettier name… Windsinger
Oooh, Windsinger’s pretty.
But then, warmblood names tend to be pretty nice, in general, from what I’ve seen.
DEFINITELY agree
there…
The vet’s coming next week sometime I think… I’m feeling young and foolish;
I’m having him do an internal on Lexi(or Icy Mama Bear if you prefer :-P) to see how ‘old’
she is… I’m crossing my fingers and praying I can have one last baby with her! I’ve
found her a Trakhener boyfriend… so I’m thinking the foals name would be either Feuergeist
(which means Firespirit in German) or Fire and Ice (in german hopefully) to play off of mom
and dad… Oh… Dad by the way is a friend of a friend’s stallion, Feuertanzer… I think
he’s online somewhere… my friend in California suggested him to me because he’s
economical for horse crazy college kids (yay!) and is a solid package… Hoping and wishing
hard!
Awesome! That would be
great for you to be able to breed your mare again! I love babies, at least the horse kind
Feuertanzer looks like a
really nice deal. (Can’t beat free, right? ) I’m not a fan of chestnuts, but he’s
pretty. Good luck with breeding Lexi.
I’m still toying with the idea of breeding
Emma, but I think I’ll probably sell her, get an OTT TB filly, retrain her, and then breed
her.
Good luck with breeding your
mare…what a name. We have a TB/QH mare at our barn who’s registered name is Lulu Dancer,
ick.
I have an OTTB mare, I wish I could breed her but she came from the TRF and the
contract states that you’re not allowed to breed the horse.
