Well, we had our first foal of the New Year yesterday! Easy Does It held out for a few days past her due date but finally produced a beautiful little colt while I was away yesterday. He’s been tentatively named Fronting.

Like the name! She sure is pretty! 
Yay! I am so excited today! A week after her due date, Sedaka Century finally had her first foal, a gorgeous little filly by High Chances. High Chances was, obviously, pretty awesome. Sedaka Century was the first horse I claimed (for $10k, as well), and only my third horse. She ended up winning 21 of 47 starts and earning over $1.7 million. I was SUPER excited for this cross. Hopefully it will have produced a sprinting monster.

Finally, a mare who didn’t foal late! A cute little colt by Almost Home and Gone Punk. Punks never did anything on the track, so I’m hoping Almost Home will add a little class to her genes and make for a decent runner.

Another early foal! Electrifying had her second foal this morning, a beautiful filly by NCh. Gimme A Shot. I was going to name her Shine but it said there was already a horse with that name (couldn’t find it though :/).
She’s been named Faraday. A Faraday cage is an enclosure made by a conducting material that blocks out static electric fields. Pretty sure it’s also a character on Lost, so good all around.
