RIP Winning Class & Morning Star

On January 1st one of our first broodmares, Winning Class, passed on due to complications of old age. She was 23 years old and died with a breed ranking of Silver.  She had 11 foals over her life time and has 100% winners so far.  She retired last year after having her last foal Winning Legacy by Nightfight and proved to be a wonderful Mom until the end.  Her most notable foals to date are:
Multi Grade 1 winner  - NCh. Cutlass
Multi Grade 1 winner and BC winner - NCh. Winning Secret
and 2yo Grade 1 winner (Now 3yo) - Ch. Batista (Full brother Winning Legacy is a spitting image. Coal black with no markings  )

Her foals are averaging nearly 700k in earnings.

Our just retired as of last year mare, Morning Star, also passed away.  We found her in the broody field laying near the yearling paddock.  We feel sad she didn’t get much of a retirement like Winning Class.  She also passed away with a slightly higher Silver ranking and 11 foals at 17 years old.  All 9 of her racing foals are winners.  Her notable foals include:
Stake Winner - Starlight Bandit
Stake Winner - Ch. Light Up The Stars
Multi-Grade 1 winner and BC Winner - GCh. Johnny Rio
BC Winner - Ch. Stellar Love
MSW including a Grade 1 - Ch. Rahy’s Star
MSW including a Grade 1 - Ch. Black Star

Her foals are averaging nearly 650k in earnings.

R.I.P ol’ Girls.

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry or the loss of your girls :frowning:

Sorry about your mares, they both left behind quite a legacy.

Thank you.  Just to tell you how long I owned Winning Class, I bought her back in the day when we could still purchase FF horses. Lol.
