I got a call a few hours ago that my grandfather was being taken to the hospital, but my granny said not to come until she found something else out. Twenty minutes later she called and said he wasn’t doing good, and that I needed to get up there. I got there 10 minutes before they pronounced him dead. He was 75 last October and had kidney problems, but he was still just as stubborn as he could be. It was such a shock, but we all know how mad he would’ve been if he’d lived and not been able to take care of himself or drive anywhere, like he was before he’d recovered from his stroke. I just needed to get this all out somewhere, and here seemed like as good a place as any. I think I’m gonna go have a good cry now.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
All of my (remaining) grandparents are in semi-ill health and I dread the day they pass away.
Oh no. I’m so sorry for your loss, and that it was so sudden. hug
So sorry for your loss.
I’m so sorry for your loss. There are no words…
Thanks y’all. I think right now it still hasn’t quite set in for any of us, but I’m sure by the time the funeral gets here Saturday, we’re all going to be nervous wrecks. My job was good about it and gave me the next couple of days off, but my sister’s job pitched a fit that she wanted to leave and go to the hospital this afternoon when my other sister called her. None of us even got to see him before he passed, it was so sudden.
so sorry to hear about your loss makes it easier when work is kind in those situations.
So sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts…
Take Care,
Kat
