Crimson Blossom was down in the field yesterday and upon closer examination found that she had already passed.  We aren’t going to do an autopsy but our vet on duty said all signs point to stroke.  We are sad to lose her as she was a great foster mom, but she is in a better place now.  Crimson Blossoms broodmare record:

It’s nice that she was out relaxing in the pasture and not struggling to have a foal. A peaceful passing, and a long fruitful life.

Sorry for your loss, Holly.  Crimsom Blossom was a joy to have in my barn the years she was here at Clover Springs.

Sorry you lost her, looks like her foals are carrying her legacy well though (not that that’s much consolation)

Wow, I didn’t even view her sale page.  Really puts into perspective how long she was around.  Seems like we are at that point now where a lot of “original” horses are going to be “going away”.  Glad she produced mares as decent as she is since I kept one. :wink:

Losing horses is never fun, especially when they have helped bring you success & joy like it appears that she has.  I’m really sorry to hear about your loss - may she rest in peace, and may the daughter you kept be the most like her of them all success-wise.  :slight_smile:
