Was going through and updating records today and realized I somehow never saw the notification that my platinum-ranked mare, Chick Flick, passed away on March 25 at the age of 18.
I purchased Chick Flick from DJ Racing & Stud in December of 2022, and since then she has produced three homebreds for me: Hollywood Surprise (a colt by Ducati), Plot Twist (a filly by Dr. Evil), and Cinematic (a filly by Powerful Soul). Chick Flick was also the dam of stallion NCh. Flames of Passion.
In total, she produced 11 foals, currently with 71% winners. Sadly, her death also means the loss of her 2027 foal by Mantle of Power, which would have been a full sibling to Flames of Passion. I am still looking forward to seeing how Plot Twist and Cinematic do in the future and hoping they carry on their mother’s legacy.
