I did training today to have one of my girls placed on the injury list with broken leg… 
I did retire her to broodmare status…however how long should I wait to breed her? Next year? This year since it is still kind of like rest?
I dunno looking for hints…thanks!
You can breed her whenever, as long as she’s old enough.
Yeah, injuries only affect horses when they’re racing. They magically heal once they’re retired, so a stallion who broke his leg on Monday would be able to live cover mares (post-retirement) on Friday.
