I have a question in regard to sires and dams in regard to real life racing compared to Final Furlong. Can I use real life statistics to get an idea of what my horse may prefer as far as distance and surface?
For example, I own Ice King who is by Dynaformer, an outstanding sire for turf runners in real life. I’ve been racing him on turf and he seems to like it as I would assume. I know alot of sire statistics from real life racing and it would be helpful if I could use this in the game here. My example sire, Dynaformer, as far as I see, does not have any statistics on FF. Anyway, anyone who would like to respond I would appreciate it
Unless a horse’s parents are in the game (as in you can link to a viewhorse page for them), then they were randomly created. Therefore they have utterly no relation to any real life sire/dams you see.
The only exceptions to this are the ones by famous horses in the game (such as Man O’War, Northern Dancer, etc) where at one point the stats were very loosely based on the real horses’ abilities. Their stats and abilities have since been modified/tweaked/regen’d along with all the other horses in the game as we adjust how the racing program works. So for all practical purposes, those too probably have no relation to real horses.
Any horse not in FF will not affect FF horses. We have been creating new horses as needed for FF to use when filling races (and we used created horses for the newbie auction as well). However, pretty much all of those horses are unrelated to any FF horses, thus their stats are totally randomly generated and not based on any horse, real or FF.
As usual, you both are very helpful. Thanks alot.
