RC Bee 2019 Crop

The mare that’s due today is still holding onto her baby ::) but another mare went into labor and delivered our first foal of the year.

[color=red]Daoimean is a gorgeous dark bay filly by Edinburgh-Diamond Prospector, by Mr. Prospector. Her parents are multiple stakes-winning dirt sprinters/milers. Her name means “diamond” in Gaelic (according to online dictionaries).

Diamond Prospector is currently waiting confirmation on a booking request.

Congrats on the Edinburgh foal! Lovely girl.

Ha, I just noticed she’s his first foal ever! And thank you - I’m very excited to have her.

Yep, someone’s got to be first. Hope the rest look just as nice.

Congratulations.

A colt has arrived!

[color=blue]Sky Full Of Stars is a lovely dapple gray by Galaxy’s Zodiac-Super Tuesday, by Candidate. No white markings on his body. I hope he’s inherited his parents’ class.

Super Tuesday is currently awaiting booking confirmation.

Congrats, lovely colt.

Love the name!

Nice Babies Love the names.

Thank you, everyone! Now I’m a day late but another colt arrived the other day.

[color=blue]Selma is a lovely dark bay colt by new sire Sunday Paper-What’s Honor, by What’s Debatable. His name is inspired by the movie with the same name and the first of the three Selma-Montgomery marches, which was nicknamed “Bloody Sunday”. His racing siblings are all winners.

What’s Honor will be bred back to home stallion Eighteen Karat.

Lovely colt.

Nice colt.

Oh someone very pretty showed up not long after midnight.

[color=red]Crown of Oak is a dark grey filly by Changeling-Fleet Hope, by Count Fleet. Her sire won quite a few stakes races and her momma set eight speed records in eight wins, so I’m hoping for great things from her and her half-sister.

No set date for Fleet Hope yet. Seems to be happening with most of my mares, lol…

[color=blue]2 colts / [color=red]2 fillies / 0 stillborn/ 25 foals still due

Love the name. Good luck with her!

Love the name!

Slacked off horribly due to being completely obsessed with Dragon Age: Inquisition so I’m behind on, well, everything - booking mares, training/entering racehorses, checking to see if any babies dropped… oops  ::)

[color=blue]Knight Enchanter is the farm’s first Karat baby, a beautiful gray colt out of Enchanted Evening, by Highland Pride. He is named for one of the mage specializations in Dragon Age: Inquisition and supposedly the most fearsome of the nine specializations offered to the main character. No pressure, baby boy.

Enchanted Evening will be bred back to TakeMeToHollywood.

[color=red]Twice Blessed is a sprightly dark bay filly by Karat-Beautiful Is Gone, by Tiznow. This particular foal was long in the making; I bought her dam when she was young because her granddam is Karat’s dam, Heart of Gold. My guess is that she’ll be a turfer like her parents.

Beautiful Is Gone is currently not booked and may go up for lease; PM me if interested

Is Dragon Age: Inquisition good? I still have to finish Origins. (I keep finding more games that look fun and then never having time to play them.)

Nice babies, love the names.

Ha ha I powered through Origins in maybe three weeks after leaving the game alone for… three years. Then took two weeks to finish off Dragon Age 2 as thoroughly as possible, then went right into Inquisition. I find it lovely; it’s a lot more like the Elder Scrolls games than the previous two, with an open world and the ability to jump on things. The side quests can get a bit derivative and tiring but I’m a bit of a completionist and I also poured hours into Skyrim so I’m used to it. But the story is fantastic and the characters are the greatest. It’s definitely worth it for the story, the characters, and the lore imo.

And thank you! The farm is very happy with the wibbly-wobbly babies.

That reminds me I have Skyrim lying around somewhere to play, too.  ::)

The other half is big into games - I just like to watch the scenery & the storyline, but hate trying to maneuver.  ::)  I suppose that’s for the best, as we don’t have to compete for the big screen.  He’s been playing Inquisitio!n lately.  I find it amusing that the town is called Haven - our daughter’s name.  We didn’t plan it that way!

Anyhow, I’m really looking forward to seeing how  Karat babies do on the track!
