We had two new girls arrive on the first of the year. Both are adorable and we’re excited about them!
The smaller of the two is a beautiful dapple grey by Galaxy’s Zodiac and out of Spanish Park. We’ve named her [color=red]Maz Kanata. Spanish Park will visit French Ruby for 2021.
The second is a dark black filly by Beau Esprit and out of Steel Magnolia (Twin Oaks). We’ve taken to calling her [color=red]Southern Star. We hope Steel Magnolia will visit Changeling for 2021.
This morning we had our 3rd foal (and 3rd filly!) arrive. [color=red]Arisad is by Formal Occasion and out of Raise A Fleet, making her a full sister to MSW Mairin’s Lass. We can only hope she lives up to her sister’s high standard. Raise A Fleet will be visiting Black Cherry for her 2021 foal.
This posting comes with mixed emotions. I’m thrilled to introduce two new colts to you, but I am sad to announce that we have lost our first foal of the year: a filly by Beau Esprit and out of Sleepy Hollow. Hollow’s first and only surviving foal will be a 2 yo this year and Hollow will return to Beau Esprit hoping for better luck next year (might name the foal something like that if it arrives safe and sound!).
On a happier note!
Our first colt of the year is by One Lucky Soul and out of The Story Remains. Seeing as he started tipping the scales back toward level after our run of fillies and that I just couldn’t pass up the chance, I’ve cheekily named him [color=blue]The Force Awakens. The Story Remains will see Latino Mix for a 2021 foal.
And early this morning Lady Bird laid down her first live foal after a stillbirth in 2018. This is a colt by Take Me Away that I’ve named [color=blue][color=blue]Luther. Lady Bird is off to visit Von Lichtenstein for 2021.

High Above Thee successfully delivered her maiden foal, a filly by Chivalry. I’ve named her [color=red]Mont Noble and she sure is cute! Her dam will go visit Beau Esprit, a stallion that was her on the track competition in their 2yo season.
That brings us to two overdue mares but hey at least they aren’t early! I’m 99% sure I’ll have a pre-2021 foal that was intended for the 2021 crop, so I’ll take late babies any day!
And another healthy baby! Simply Lucky delivered [color=red]DanceInAHurricane, a filly by Superdocious this morning. Her dam will be visiting Hogsmeade for 2021.
We have another colt! Hermelinda, a recent acquisition from Clicker Labs, delivered a healthy colt by Al Mundhir. Since his sire’s name is Arabic and his mothers name is Spanish, I’ve named him [color=blue]Al Hamra which is the Arabic for “The Red,” fitting as he is a blood bay, and also Arabic for a Moor palace in Andalusia. Hermelinda will be visiting a First Born Son for 2021.
Though we are still waiting on a mare that was due on 1/29, Zamberta was a doll and delivered on her due date! What a gem. She delivered a beautiful dark bay colt by Monarchos and has been named [color=blue]Sir Talbot. Zamberta will visit American Pharoah for 2021.
