Race Results - Margins

I did a search about result margins but didn’t have any luck - so I apologize if this has been covered somewhere  :-\

Let looks at a result from Calder tonight…

Am I reading this right??

The race starts with Anila-Su up by 3 lengths, Doyou’ 2nd by 3 3/4, Artful’ 3rd by 2 1/2, Noble’ 4th by 3 3/3 and then Flood Watch 5th by 136 1/4 lengths!!?
That’s about 1090’ lead over Mystic’ (assuming 96" length per average tbred)
That’s over a furlong ahead of the 6th place horse.  :astonished:
??  Or am I reading it wrong??

The dashes mean what?  Maybe what ‘dis’ would indicate in a racing form?

I see that Flood Watch lost 79 1/4 lengths to the leader in the last 2 furlongs.  (was dead heat at the 10F call and then 20.5+15.75+43 behind the horses ahead of him at the line.)
If I read that right, he lost 637’ over the course of the final 1320’ - so Anila-Su ran twice as fast?  Flood Watch must have really ran out of gas

My horses have yet to run a race - but I was hoping to be able to read the results properly when they come in Saturday.
Sorry for the rookie questions.  ::)

The dashes represent no margin, as they’re supposed to be for the horse in last place.

Wacky margins are a known bug.

OK.

I see that the 4th and 6th both have dashes at the final.
…and there are 2 DNF at 10F that recover to finish in the race.
Are those the bugs or are all the margins off??

Those are the bugs, as well as the 136 length thing.
