Well, another iconic broodmare has decided to make her peace today. Her and Golden Princess always stuck together in the paddocks so it’s no surprise to us to see she wasn’t going to make it without her. We found her resting peacefully near the spot where Golden Princess past.
A little about this girls accomplishments:
Risky Venture was never started on the track due to an injury as a yearling. By the time she turned 5 her new role was apparent as a fantastic TB broodmare. Standing 17.0h and near perfect conformation it wasn’t a hard decision to make to see what kind of foals she would throw.
She ended up giving birth to an astounding 17 foals in her career, 16 of which were live, and 15 made it to the race track.
11 were winners, 5 won a stakes race, and 3 of those were multi-stake winners. Her foals averaged nearly 500,000 in earnings.
