Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Oct. 7) - Enable & Autumn Red

This is the last “famous race” I’m writing about before the Breeder’s Cup festival; but there are three more millionaire races in Australia, and the Canadian International in Woodbine.
Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is Europe’s most prestigious horse race. Its roll of honour features many highly acclaimed horses, and its winners are often subsequently regarded as champions. It is currently the world’s richest turf race and third-richest horse race (behind the Pegasus World Cup and Dubai World Cup).
This is the only race in France in Final Furlong, and in real life it runs just a few days later than in the game.

Entries are open! Remember that you have to ship your horses to France, which can take some time (and energy) if you’re not based in England or Ireland.

I have two with [color=red]Ch. Autumn Red and [color=blue]Ynez Saint Laurent. Both longshots, but I had actually shipped them to England months ago for specific races then forgot to actually enter, so instead of shipping them back home I decided to make something of the overseas trip and sent them on to France. So they’ve been chilling/training there for a few months, now. Fingers crossed!

We plan to run two in the Arc…
Kemistree who was a cheap purchase last April at $1000 and he’s never been out of the first two for us. Loves long distances so this maybe a bit sharp for him but after his G1 Irish Leger win last time this seemed a good option for him
Our other entry and main hope for the race is five time G1 winner Never Let Go. 12f seems his best distance and hopefully he likes France ?? We shall see next Wednesday ( a littlefield 1-2 would be nice)
Good luck to all other entries

Congratulations Shelbie for Autumn Red’s win! The real life race is coming soon.

It’s tomorrow! There is a video of the course narrated by Antoine Hamelin, a jockey who will ride tomorrow but on another horse:

it’s in French, with English subtitles.

And the real life winner, like last year, is the 2017 European Horse of the Year and Champion Three-year-old Filly Enable, again under legendary jockey Frankie Dettori. Video:
