Possible horse leasing

Well my friend and I went to

a horse rescue centre yestaurday and we were basically introduced to every horse that was

there (sadly 101 of the poor things not including the new foals), but she was in the market

for a younger horse that she could train.

She also makes the suggestion that since she is

getting an older mare for free from her previous owners after taking care of her, and since

she wants to get a younger horse to train that I could possibly lease the older mare

Makes me all giddy inside anyways since I have always wanted a horse, and just leasing

Kayna for a while from her would make me happy, and she is the perfect horse for someone like

me who hasn’t ridden often to learn on.

Now back to the centre, we were eaten alive by

nibbling foals who were so adorable! I have pictures which I’ll post later, but they have

quite a few buckskin, paint, and roan broodmares there which produced some interesting

patterned and colored foals. Still all of the baby-fuzz, and they were so adorable!

Summer

is finally here, and riding in the mountains will be interesting. Hope everyone else is

looking foward to summer as much as I am

Lindsay

That sounds awesome,

Lindsay!

Emma and I explored the concept of walking through puddles today, rather than

staring at them in shock and dismay. :stuck_out_tongue: We also trotted a bit and jumped a cross-rail

(sadly, not with me on her - we long-lined instead - but hopefully by fall we’ll be hopping

over cross-rails together).

Awe, I miss doing all those

things with my horses. I started my last two over fences when they were 3. Very

interesting, but boy is it awesome to take a horse over their first fence. They pick it up

so fast!

I was looking some horses from an adoption agency online. A lot of nice horses

go through adoption programs! I was shocked to find that there is an Olympic gold medalist

who donates regularly there. The name of the place is SWAP (Second Wind Adoption program).

Looks really nice there! Maybe I do have a horse in my near future. Now i just need to find

a job that makes enough money and gives me enough free time. Hope you guys have a blast with

your horsies!

That sounds great! I once

leased a 21 year old mare that I won TONS of ribbons in in barrels and stuff lol. And young

horses are fun too ^-^ I taught my horse a completely new skill in the time it took for the

other boarder to ride their horse from one corner to the other on the short side of our

arena. Just a hint though: Don’t let babies nibble on you. Someone let my colt nibble when

he was little and now he thinks it’s acceptable to bite. He’s bitten hard enough to leave a

scar on my arm <_<
Anyhow, good luck with the lease! I hope everything works out for you!
