Well folks, Jo-San’s first homebred is a 2010 weanling! We had a filly today. By Worth The Wait out of Northern Ember. She had a Jan 1 due date, so I’ve been waiting and hoping for the new year to arrive before the foal…didn’t happen. Oh well, it’s still exciting…my very first one. I’ve named her Not Gonna Wait.
Cute name/baby…hopefully she’ll do good things on the track in 3 years or so. 
Yep. The wait is not so cool, but I’ll have to do just that. Oh well. I’m guessing she’s the first of the “what should be” 2011 foals? Who knows, she’s probably not the last of the 2010’s.
Yep, she’s the first (pseudo) 2011 foal, so you do get that (dubious) honor.

Looking good. I wonder how many more will pop up between now and Monday. I’ve got two mares that have dates that’re close. Gotta keep my fingers crossed.
Yeah, I’ve got a January 3 pending. I’m gripping like mad. Don’t need two early birds in my first breeding season!

Hopefully all the rest of these moms hang on till Monday! I’m sure thankful that my two mares are due end of Jan./beginning of Feb., but these mares do like to surprise us.
I’ve got one that’s due on Monday, crosses fingers and hopes she doesn’t decide to foal early.
Just passed the wire on what I hope is a nice one. My first 2011 baby is a new years filly! Heartless Junction is bt Crossroads out of Ch. Heartless, an Affirmed mare. This was too close to another oops for me. My first homebred weanling. I’m kinda pumped.
Congrats! Cross Roads is sure to be proud of her in a couple of years.
