New Horsey =)

Yay!! Got a new horse today, she’s mine but isn’t haha. She’s actually my vets horse, but I get to ride her, show her and do whatever I like with her for as long as i wish. All I have to do is pay for board/farrier , etc and I get free vet work done. =D

Her name is Popsicle (I know funny, but I think its cute), I think I’ll probably be calling her “Pops” for short. She is 4 years old, around 16hh (maybe a little smaller) and is a chestnut mare with a little triangle on her forehead! Haha. She is a thoroughbred (there might be some warmblood, I can’t remember). I am going to take some pictures tomorrow and I will post them as soon as I get them… I am so excited, she is really green though, and hasn’t been ridden in a year, but oh well, it shall be fun =)

She sounds like a cute project.  Good luck with her!

thanks, I am sure it will be an adventure  ;D I took these today with my phone, but hopefully some better ones will be coming soon.

Aww, she’s really cute.   Good luck with her!

Oh she’s really pretty! I hope you have fun with her.

i think id call her poppy or poppie like the flower, :-)… ps her star looks like a pyramid , thats so cool!!

ADORABLE! I want to eat her, she’s so cute…
Have a great time w/ her…

thanks guys… My coach rode her today and i got on for a little too, she was super! So quiet, but doesn’t steer to well yet. She’s got a cute trot , too. We lunged her and she doesn’t know how to canter either, but thats alright we’ll get there eventually.

I thought about poppie, but its not really my thing, i dont think it suits her. I am really drawn to “Pops” for some reason, so I will probably keep it as that =)

Here is a little update on Pops:

She is really smart and learns really quick (too smart if you ask me lol). She now canters and picks up both leads (right side can be a bit challenging at times though), she actually can do lead changes too but that wasnt on purpose haha, they’re very smooth though. I’ve jumped her about 4-5 times and she is brave and a cute jumper (a big change from my other horse shooter). On Saturday we did our first course and she was excellent, jumped the liverpool, little boxes, flowers and corn and a gate. Here are the most recent pictures, but im hoping a friend will email the ones from sat, and i will post those when i get them.
