Last year the thread started in July, so I feel we’ve improved! Any new faces potentially entering the shed next year?
I wasn’t following racehorses much this year, but I really like GUN RUNNER - he caught my eye when I saw a photo of him on Twitter, by Barbara Livingston; or rather a photo of his tail with a horseshoe which got tangled up during a race
Here the pic:

I don’t know if he’s retiring next year but looks interesting as a sire: by Candy Ride, out of Quiet Giant / Giant’s Causeway. I know that we have both sire and grandsire in the game… but they’re not very popular and this does makes the real life sires more interesting in hypothetical mating
Some facts from Wikipedia:

There is a quite detailed Wikipedia entry about him:

Here his Whitney win - spot the horseshoe!
My FF life goal is to be able to reply with a stud prospect! #GOALS
If I can get him to win one more stakes race (I think), Tir Na Nog will be up here…
Similarly, I’m leasing Legends Last who needs to hit the top 3 in one more G1 to qualify.
If he can get just 1 more stakes win of any level, GCh. Sign of the Cross (I’m A Classic x CrossTheThreshold, created) will retire to stud in the spring. I’m not sure how likely this is, though.
And NCh. Franco Classico (I’m A Classic x Little Franco, created) has already qualified but doesn’t seem quite ready to quit yet, so I’m not positive on his retirement date yet. It will be next spring only if he shows signs of fizzling out
We have 2 potential new additions to the Breeding Sheds for next year and a number that only need 1 or 2 more SW’s to qualify:-

Lewis - I’m always in awe of your ability to manage so many horses to such success! It’s so impressive. I hope you can get your boys to those final stakes wins!
I think I have about 5 who need 1-2 more SW finishes. And almost all are chasers. Guess we get to rest and hope for early 2018 that one of them can score! Realistically they’ll just eat the entry money and walk backwards.
Well, from what I heard it looks like Gun Runner will retire after the Pegasus World Cup! I’d love to see him here!
Not sure if we can have him as we’ve had Candy Ride (sire) and Giant’s Causeway (damsire).
Oh haha yeah I’m not entirely sure how adding new RL studs goes, so just ignore me LOL
