The last of our Lit de Lilly mares to foal out, Bold Lilly is also the most established in the breeding shed. Her most successful foal to date, Charismatic, just recently retired to stud after a great career on the track. The oldest foal I have out of her had a successful 2yo debut at the allowance level, but still waiting to see if he has the mettle for graded races.

Unfortunately we had a stillborn foal today. All things considered though I feel lucky that it took us this deep into foaling season to have any losses and that Popular is doing well herself.

This would have been the first foal out of a homebred mare for us! Popular was a stakes winner and multi-stakes placed as well. With Sionnach having retired there wonât be a repeat attempt unfortunately, so Iâll wait a little on deciding who to rebreed her to.

Keeping with the Weezer song name theme for all of Elaineâs foals, Lonely Girl is off the album âEverything Will Be Alright In The End.â Elaine is one of my few created broodmares who wasnât raced or anything beforehand so her foals are a bit more of a wildcard. Her two oldest foals are both winners though, so Iâve been keeping her as an outcross option for the breeding program.

Another healthy foal for Bridge the Gap! This colt is named for the main character of Thomas Harrisâ Red Dragon novel. So far Bridge the Gapâs oldest foal is a successful allowance horse and her second oldest, Bury the Hachet, is MSP over dirt endurance distances. Looking forward to what this cross will bring.

First foal for Threni who did her best at Dirt sprints in her 2yo year. Threni is named for a Stravinsky composition so I decided to name her filly after a Renaissance composer who I thought had a pretty name.

American Pharoah (S) x Ch. Lingering Test - WCh. As You Wish (B)
9h dark bay filly
Second foal for Lingering Test who was a MSW on dirt. This fillyâs name is a reference to the Egyptian goddess of night since Lingering Testâs dam is Deep of the Night. Hoping for a Kentucky Oaks prospect in a few years with this cross!

GCh. Fivel x Tiz Famous (B) - Created

A nice big grey filly for Tiz Famousâ last foal. Both made it through the foaling healthy, but in a routine check after it was decided that for the continued health of Tiz Famous she should be retired. Whenever I see the name Fivel it makes me think of An American Tail, so this filly is named for another Don Bluth film. All of Tiz Famousâ running foals have been solid allowance horses, but she has had one standout with Bullet Proof who is a MSW millionaire on dirt owned by Sakura Springs. Hoping for at least a fraction of that performance from this filly!

Third foal for Sweet War. She wasnât too proven on the track herself, but as a Man OâWar foal Ivwanted to try having her in the program. Her only racing foal is a late season 3yo so I havenât had him out much yet, but so far has always been in the money.

A pretty filly for Hot Danish. Sheâs thrown solid dirt and steeplechase horses so far, with one of her colts being stakes placed. This filly is bred for steeplechase, but weâll see what sheâs interested in when the time comes.

Named for a favorite My Chemical Romance song as a nod to her sireâs name play on chemistry. This filly is a chestnut just like mom, and if she ends up having her damâs proclivity to turf I wonât be complaining. Minor Scene ended up running her best as an older horse and was MSP over endurance distances and even won the Melbourne Cup at the end of her career. Hoping for a turf endurance power house with this filly
