I don’t exactly know what to do first. I looked all over in the forum and in the FAQ for an answer, but I couldn’t find it. Hopefully I didn’t overlook anything!
Anyway, should I ship my injured horse (bowed tendon) home immediately? Or does this run any risk of making his recovery time longer? I could leave him at the track for an amount of time before I shipped him home for adequate rest, but I don’t know if this is necessary.
Shipping home would probably help. If you leave him at a track for the entire recovery (several months) I’m pretty sure he will still lose NE. If you ship him home he can recover and when you go to start him again his NE will be full.
I would ship him home. If it would make you feel better you could wait a couple weeks, but I would definitely ship him home at some point in his recovery.
